The Health Benefits of the 7 Chakras

Chakra is a word from the Sanskrit language meaning wheel. These wheels are energy centers in the body that allow movement of energy. Each chakra is believed to be associated to a particular set of body parts. On addition to that, each of them is represented by a unique color and has specific gemstones. It is always advisable to have all the 7 chakras balanced because imbalance can lead to health problems.

Let's have a look at each of the 7 chakras and their health responsibilities.

Root Chakra: This particular chakra is given the red color and is situated at the lower end of the spine. This is linked with the kidney, blood, muscles and lower part of the body. Among its gemstones are the red jasper, ruby, bloodstones, smoky quartz among others and are responsible for the treatment of anemia and depression.

Sacral Chakra: The orange color is used to represent it. It is above the root chakra just in the lower abdomen. Some of the parts it is associated with include the bladder, the reproductive organs and the stomach. This chakra's gemstones are orange carnelian, fire opal and the orange jasper. The stones are used to eliminate urinary problems, sexual problems and any lower back pain.

The gemstones associated with the solar plexus include the yellow zircon, citrine, golden calcite, topaz and amber. The health responsibilities are to treat diabetes, ulcers, adrenal dysfunction and constipation.
